The winning team
Veteran Trainer Emmanuel Essel “Ghanaar” Worbil has saluted players of Tema Community 4 after the team’s title win in the 2017 Tema Basketball League.

Community 4 beat Ashaiman Lions 47-38 in Game Two of the Finals Series to wrap up a straight forward win in the decider.

Following the team’s big win over Ashaiman, C4 made on appearance on basketball television show “Courtside” with Worbil in attendance.

In a lively conversation with Host Anchor Yaw Sakyi Afari, Worbil, who coached the team in the Finals, directed a salute gesture to the playing body for their win.

He added, ”the boys they do listen that made them win the game. They listen very well” against the celebrated Lions.

Ashaiman walked into the finals as favorites following the team’s win over 2016 title holders Nungua Coldstore in the previous round.

However, the team’s magical run came unstuck in the finals against the home side with MVP winner Aninagyei Osei leading C4 to its first league title.
