The upcoming Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball season roster is set to be without two familiar names.

Sunyani Technical University (STU) and West Siders have been part of the division in Ghana’s Brong Ahafo Region capital, Sunyani since its formative years.

However, the roster released ahead of the new season start date Saturday November 25 does not include the pair.

Reigning champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Suncity Braves, Dessert Rabbits and LIR have been registered.

Barracks Scorpions and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG Saints) complete the list of six teams due to start competing this weekend.

This is down to STU and West Siders failure to meet league requirements in time for registration ahead of this season.

However, information reaching Basketballghana.com indicates both teams have been given extra days to complete the registration processes prior to Friday.

Failure to do so permanently takes the duo out of contending in the new season. UENR beat Braves on the final day last season to clinch the title.
