POJOSS Team with Coach James Okine.

Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary Basketball Coach James Okine has stated beating his side is a difficult task to accomplish.

He made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com after leading Pope John to the Eastern Region Basketball Championship title.

Pope John piped KSTS 31-30 in the final game to lift the trophy with both teams qualifying to the national championship- Sprite Ball.

Recognizing his impressive statistics since taking over the role, Okine was confident his side deserved the win and will be a tough nut to crack at the national games.

“Beating POJOSS under my leadership will be a very difficult thing to do. My target is the Sprite Ball Championship” he said.

Okine Pope John has placed third at the national event and narrowly missed out on another medal after placing fourth at the last edition held in December 2016.

The next edition of Sprite Ball will be held in January 2018 with Opoku Ware School as the defending male champions.
