The next edition of Ghana’s most celebrated high school basketball competition-Sprite Ball Championship-will be played from January 4 to January 6, 2018.

The most anticipated high school event of the year will be honored at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra next year.

Prior to the official announcement, rumors swirled following the protracted hesitance from organizers Rite Sports Limited on pronouncing a set period for the competition.

However, reports gathered by Rite Sports point to the Award winning organization’s stance on clearing all hurdles before making an official statement.

With qualifiers set to conclude in the coming days, Rite Sports has planned a trophy tour to further whip up interest in the competition.

Qualifying games have been concluded in the Ashanti, Eastern and Volta Regions with games in the Central and Greater Accra Regions due to take place in the upcoming week.

Games in the Western Region will be played today with two spots up for grabs in the male division and a sole spot in the female division.

Pope John and Koforidua Senior High Technical School will represent the Eastern Region in the male division at the national games.
