Two time Ghana High School Basketball Champions in the female division-Sacred Heart Senior High School- has qualified to represent Greater Accra Region at next year’s edition.

The team beat off competition at the regional qualifiers held this past weekend to secure one of three slots to represent the region.

Qualifying to the main competition is the first for the school after an extensive absence in a tournament it used to dominate.

After winning back to back national titles in 2009 and 2010, Sacred Heart failed to reproduce the same level of success in subsequent years including the last edition held in December, 2016 where the side failed to qualify.

However, the school will be represented in the boys and girls divisions respectively at the next Sprite Ball which takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Accra Wesley Girls High School and West Africa Senior High School have qualified alongside Sacred Heart in the girls division.

Regional qualifiers were played at Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESE-Legon).
