Central Region’s St. Augustine’s with Trophy
West Africa Senior High School (WASS) Female Basketball Team can play in the Sprite Ball Championship according to Coach Samuel Anaman.

The young but apt Trainer made the statement ahead of the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour which hits the school on Friday.

The Trophy will be paraded on the campus after making similar stops in schools around several parts of the West African country.

However, after sealing qualification to the national championship slated for next year, Anaman is adamant his side will perform well at the games.

“Yes. They (the girl’s team) have the potential to make the final” he said in an interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the Tour.

WASS qualified from the regional games alongside Sacred Heart Senior High School in the girls division but missed out on a double representation at Sprite Ball as its male side failed to qualify.

The next Sprite Ball takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at El Wak Stadium in Accra with 16 schools due to compete in the boys division and 10 to compete in the girls division.
