Greater Accra Basketball Association Vice Chairman Andrew Ackah has been tabbed to be present for the live draw for the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship per reports reaching Basketballghana.com
The draw will be held on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports during the live broadcast of renowned basketball television program “Courtside” which airs from 16:00-18:00 GMT on Sunday December 24.
Ackah was voted into office earlier this year and doubles as Vice Chair of Ghana’s premier basketball club competition; the Accra Basketball League.
He joins Ghana Basketball Association Chairman David Addo Ashong and Ghana Education Service National Physical Education Coordinator Emmanuel Dormenyah as guests for the draw on Sunday.
The draw will determine pairing in the preliminary stage of the anticipated event which rolls out early next year with a lot of expectations.
16 schools will compete in the boys division with 10 schools due to compete in the girls division; Opoku Ware School and Wesley Girls High School are winners in the respective categories.
Next year’s Sprite Ball runs from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
