Schools in line to compete at the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship via voting are eligible to feature in the draw for the anticipated tournament.

The draw for next year’s Sprite Ball Championship takes place on Sunday December 24 during the live broadcast of celebrated basketball television show “Courtside”.

The show airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports from 16:00-18:00 GMT and will be headlined by Ghana Basketball Association Chairman David Addo Ashong and Accra Basketball Association Vice Chairman Andrew Ackah.

Eight schools in the male division and six schools in the female division are vying for the remaining spot in each division to compete in the Championship.

After missing out on an automatic spot in the regional qualifiers, the 14 listed schools headlined by former national winners Sacred Heart Senior High School and St. Mary’s Senior and perennial contenders including PRESEC-Legon and GSTS.

Voting commenced on hoops portal Basketballghana.com on December 21 and ends on Saturday December 23 at 21:00 GMT.

Next year’s Sprite Ball Championship takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
