OWASS Harris gathers rebound in Sprite Ball final
Countdown to the start of Ghana‘s most celebrated high school basketball tournament-Sprite Ball Championship- is mere hours away.

The competition tips off on Thursday January 4 and is due to end on Saturday December 6 with all games to be played at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

The start of the competition all but ends Opoku Ware School and Wesley Girls High School’s reign as competition winners which 26 schools featuring in this year’s edition.

Unless either retains the title come Saturday, a new champion will be declared at the end of the three day basketball festival.

Opoku Ware has to outwit strong contenders like Mfantsipim School, St. Augustine’s College, St. John’s School and Pope John to clinch back to back titles.

Wesley Girls have to do same against top teams including Kumasi Girls High School, and former winners Aggrey Memorial Zion Senior High and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School.

Teams will be based at the University of Ghana during the competition.
