UPSA exited the Mini GUSA without any wins.
UG beat UCC in the final game.

UPSA (white) won just a game at the 2016 UPAC competition.
The University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Male Basketball Team did little to salvage the dire situation of the institution at the just ended GUSA Games.

The 2018 edition of Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games ended over the weekend at the University of Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale.

However, UPSA failed to clinch a medal at the multi sports competition with University of Cape-Coast (UCC) topping the medal table.

Missing out on a medal meant a disappointing end to the campaign for its male basketball team who commenced the tournament as defending silver medalist.

The team placed second at the 2016 edition of the biannual competition falling to University of Ghana (UG) in the final game.

However, the team has been on a slide since that feat and went missed out progressing from the group stage at the 2017 Mini GUSA which UG won.

The poor run continued in this year’s event as UPSA missed out on the top positions taken up by UG, UCC and University of Education-Winneba.
