On a personal level, Ghana Center Ernest Aflakpui will feel hard done by after falling two points short off a double double.

However on a team level, he should feel good following Temple University’s 83-76 win over Tulane University in the College matchup.

6 foot 10 inch Forward Aflakpui recorded 8 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes a starter; his production is an improvement on his numbers in Temple’s previous game where he scored five points and had no assists.

The win is the Owls second following an 81-79 win over Wichita State; the two point win coupled with the victory over Tulane gives Temple a two game winning run ahead of a tie against East Carolina on Thursday.

Three members of Temple’s starting unit scored in double figures with Guard Quinton Rose scoring 15 points in the win.

However, Nate Pierre-Louis came off the bench to pace the team’s offense with 18 points. Tulane’s Jordan Cornish scored a game high 20 points.
