Brimah goes up for Dunk

Brimah in action for Spurs.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah and Austin Spurs will be hoping for a win later tonight when the team plays Oklahoma City Blue.

Tonight’s tie is the second of three road games for Austin who lost 123-134 to Texas Legends last night in the NBA Gatorade League.

Following tonight’s game, Spurs face Northern Arizona Suns on Monday February 26 before returning to its HEB Center on Friday March 2 to play Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

After suffering the 11 point loss to Texas, Austin face top side Oklahoma with its lead in the Western Conference standings under threat.

Despite having four members of its starting unit score in double digits, Spurs bench unit performed below par against Texas.

Prominent among them was Brimah who recorded eight points, six rebounds, an assist and two blocks in 22 minutes off the bench.

The Ghanaian defender leads the G-League in blocks with 2.8 average per game in his maiden season after graduating from University of Connecticut.

Brimah and his teammates need to improve tonight or could suffer a second straight loss.
