Organizer of the ROX Energy Independence Day Charity Basketball Jam Samuel Sasu Adonteng has described the event as a “good one”.

The one day competition was held on Tuesday March 6 to commemorate Ghana’s 61st Independence Day Celebrations at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

Teams representing 10 tertiary institutions in Ghana’s capital Accra participated in the event which had Marshalls University College clinch first place.

Marshalls beat Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) 22-21 in the final game; both teams are preparing for the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship later this month.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Adonteng was satisfied with the outcome of the program particularly on the games stating:

“By the grace of God, at the end of the day we had a very nice program…in total, I will say it was a good program and we are open to host again next year”.

Host UPSA, placed third in the competition and like Marshalls and GTUC, the team will play in this year’s UPAC.
