Kintampo (Blue) v UENR
STU beat Catholic University (all white strip)

An official winner was not declared earlier today at the Sunyani Technical University when the final game of this year’s UPAC Basketball Championship came to an abrupt end.

The host team was up against rival University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) for the chance to top Zone 4 of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges Championship.

The zone’s winner qualifies to the national championship due to be held in Accra next month and STU was on track to clinch the spot.

However, with the host team leading 18-5 at the end of the third quarter, the game was suspended as a result of gusty winds.

The game was later called off due to heavy rainfall with players in close proximity to the court and primed to see out the game.

Checks by Basketballghana.com indicate the final quarter will be replayed on Monday March 19 at the same venue.

However, Catholic University College, Ghana played earlier against Kintampo College of Health and managed to clinch its sole win in the zone via a sterling 28-26 comeback win.
