Wisconsin (green) v ATU
Wisconsin International University College wrapped up competing in Zone 6 of the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The team missed out on qualifying beyond the zone to the next stage of the competition after placing second behind Accra Technical University (ATU).

ATU hosted the games and managed to secure top spot in the zone and book a spot in the national championship phase with three straight wins.

Wisconsin on the other hand, recorded two wins but lost 23-39 to ATU to miss out on progressing from the preliminary stage for the first time.

The team did beat Valley View University 43-30 and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) 57-25.

Despite the miss, the team made major progress in this year’s edition by competing well unlike previous editions where it did not.

Recently hired Coach Albert Djan has gained grounds with the team after a few weeks since his appointment and will need to do same to guide Wisconsin when the Private Universities Sports Association Games starts next month.
