STU beat Catholic University (all white strip)
Sunyani Technical University (STU) did not get the chance to play its first game since winning Zone 4 of the 2018 UPAC Basketball Championship.

The team was scheduled to play Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG Saints) in the second game of Week 9 fixtures in the Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League.

However, Saints failed to show up for the game leading STU to walk away with a win via forfeiture; this is the team’s third win this season.

The tertiary side also gains a 20 goal advantage; this is Saints first forfeited game unlike West Siders who have missed four straight games in the league.

West Siders missed its tie against Desert Rabbits; the easy win is Rabbits seventh win in nine games this season.

The games was scheduled to be a rematch of the Zone 4 fixture between STU and CUCG Saints which STU won to qualify to the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Campionship national competition which runs from April 12-14.
