Defending NBA Gatorade League Champions Raptors 905 is aiming for a second straight title when it takes on Austin Spurs in the finals series this week.

The first of three possible games takes place early this morning at the HEB Center in Austin with Raptors clinching the Eastern Conference and Austin doing same in the West.

Raptors should feel confident heading to the game; aside being champions, the team holds a two game win over Spurs this season.

905 beat Austin 93-78 in the just ended regular season and recorded a 116-87 win in the last campaign’s regular season game.

Winning the title will be Spurs first since clinching the 2012 G League Championship; the title will be Ghana Center Amida Brimah’s major trophy as a professional.

Brimah is in his first year as a professional since graduating from University of Connecticut; he captained the Huskies in his final year and won the 2014 National College title in his first year.

He was the regular season’s top shot blocker.
