Blankson about to attempt a three point shot.

For the third straight year, University of Ghana (UG) will play in the final game of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

UG beat University of Education-Winneba (UEW) 66-48 in the first semifinals of this year’s edition with Winneba trailing long stretches in the game.

The first half had UG claim a 33-17 win in a half Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff found his range and knocked down consecutive three point shots stretching his side’s lead.

The third year Guard paced all scorers in the game scoring 18 and added two rebounds and an assist in 35 minutes.

UEW reverted to attempting a barrage of three point shots in the final quarter in a desperate attempt to erase the deficit.

However, their frantic attempts largely proved futile with Shooting Guard Samuel Blankson scoring 12 points on two of 17 shots from three point range.

UG won the UPAC Championship in 2016 and 2017 and is in line to clinch a third straight title.
