Takoradi Technical University’s Basketball Court has undergone a major transformation thanks to the efforts of betting firm BetWay.
Like so many playing surfaces in Ghana, Takoradi Technical University’s court was not in the best shape and needed urgent attention.
The tertiary institution’s playing surface which was in need of a major upgrade got one as BetWay funded the court’s repainting.
The project was completed in time to host BetWay’s Basketball Tournament which had several teams from different parts of Ghana compete.
The court now sports pristine white and black colors exactly those of BetWay and a dominant green color to match.
Accra based side Nungua Coldstore emerged winners of the competition after topping teams like Hoops from Cape-Coast and Oil City Dragons from the host city Sekondi-Takoradi.
The team won the gold trophy, GHC 2,500 and assorted items from BetWay; Guards Emmanuel Wolff and Larry Taufiq emerged the Most Valuable Player of the competition and Three Point Shooting Champion respectively.
