Braves of Customs will be involved in Accra Basketball League (ABL) Games in the Men’s Division I and Women’s Division respectively tonight.
The Female Team takes on big rival Ghana Police Service at 16:00 GMT and the Male side follows up with a tie against Tema Youth at 18:00 GMT.
Both games will be played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu and on the backdrop of celebrating the first year anniversary of the fallen Benjamin Baafi.
Former Customs Manager Baafi, played a significant role in the sport’s growth in Ghana as a player and later administrator in varied roles.
He managed the sports division of Ghana’s Customs Service for several years and Ghana’s National Male Basketball Team.
Prior to his demise, Baafi was the ABL Chairman doubling as Greater Accra Basketball Association Chairman for multiple years.
For his outstanding contribution to the sport, Baafi was honored at the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards with the Dedication and Valor prize.
Tonight’s matchups represent the biggest in each ABL division.
