For the second time in the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Regular Season, Braves came out victorious in a duel with archrival Tema Youth.
In the latest battle between the league giants, Braves recorded a 78-56 win over Tema in the only game in the division played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu on Saturday.
This keeps Braves at the division’s summit with 20 points from winning all 10 games played this season; Braves survived a scare from Adenta Leopards before taking on Youth.
For Tema, the loss is the team’s fourth of the season in 10 games and despite close rival Ghana Police Service falling 72-79 to Ghana Fire Service, Tema Youth couldn’t capitalize on the slip to move up.
Braves win was recorded on the backdrop of former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi’s First Anniversary since his demise.
DC Dynamics remains stuck at the bottom of the standings after missing out on a win over Navy Warriors; DC lost 33-35.
