Basketballghana.com can confirm Austin Spurs and Ghana Center Amida Brimah has touched base in the West African nation.

The former University of Connecticut Captain is in the country following his recent run with San Antonio Spurs in this year’s Summer League.

Brimah featured in eight games for Spurs in the Utah and Las Vegas Summer Leagues; San Antonio did not feature in the knockout phase of the Las Vegas competition.

Amida is in the country for a brief time and is expected to move back to the US to continue preparations for preseason games.

Last season, Brimah had a run with Spurs main team before getting assigned to the team’s NBA Gatorade League affiliate in Austin.

His season ended in glory as Austin clinched the league title with Brimah excelling on the individual front by leading all players in blocks and getting named to the All Defensive Team.

He will be hoping to land a spot in San Antonio following a good Summer League campaign.
