2017-2018 NBA Gatorade League winning Center Amida Brimah has returned to the United States Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The 6 foot 10 inch defender spent the past week in his homeland Ghana where he reconnected with family members and friends.

He also spent some time with the media by making appearances on a couple of shows where his short but colorful professional career was discussed extensively.

His return to the US signals preparations for upcoming preseason games for San Antonio Spurs with the 2018-2019 NBA season closing in.

Prior to his visit to Ghana, Brimah featured for Spurs in the Summer League playing eight games in Utah and Las Vegas with three in Utah.

The former University of Connecticut Captain is aiming to seal his spot on the main team’s roster for next season after missing out last year.

He had a clear run at the backup Center position but the presence of new recruit Jakob Poeltl in a deal for DeMar DeRozan complicates matters a bit for Brimah.
