Ghana’s Greater Accra Region is ready to roll at this year’s National Unity Games after announcing its team to compete in the basketball event of the multi sports competition.

The 2018 edition of the Unity Games commences on August 12 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast after Kumasi held last year’s event.

Unsurprisingly, the roster is filled with players from the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I who will be in Cape-Coast in the coming days.

The Guard heavy roster is headlined by veteran players including Kwame Boamah Djan of Tema Youth, Elvis Pobi-Siaw of Ghana Police and Kofi Asirifi of Navy Warriors.

Young enterprising players like Kent Fosu and Emmanuel Sarkor also made the cut to represent the region in the tournament.

Training according to information reaching Basketballghana.com has been scheduled to tip off tonight at 18:00 GMT at the Lebanon House Court.

The remaining regions are expected to make similar announcements in the coming days with the competition start date close. Below is a full list of players called up:
