The Italy international took home the top prize after lighting up the exhibition game which featured NBA players from various continents.
Gallinari registered 23 points for Team World in a 96-92 win over Team Africa by connecting nine of ten attempts in the game.
2015 NBA Champion Harrison Barnes of Dallas Mavericks added a 14 point, 11 rebounds double double production in the win.
Team Africa Captain Joel Embiid led by example by producing 24 points while former Philadelphia Sixers teammate Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot added 16 points.
This is the third straight win for Team World in the game’s three editions; proceeds will fund Nelson Mandela Foundation’s projects.
Gallinari follows in the footsteps of former winners Victor Oladipo and 2015 co winners Chris Paul and Luol Deng. Gallinari is a product of the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders Program which held its Africa version earlier in the week.
