Basketballghana.com can confirm that a new date for the continuation of the 2018 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season has been set.

August 16 has been announced as the new date for league games to recommence following a break influenced by this National Sports Festival.

The Festival popularly known as Unity Games in the Ghanaian circles was set to commence later this week on August before it got postponed.

The games have been called off to a yet to be named date to allow Ghana’s athletes prepare for next year’s All Africa Games in Morocco.

The ABL planned to resume competition on August 23 but has had to restructure its plans to accommodate the final leg of the regular season.

Fixtures are yet to be named after the schedule change for the Men’s Division I and Women’s Divisions respectively in this year’s campaign.

Ghana Police Service leads the Women’s Division and is yet to be beaten in eight games while Braves of Customs lead the Male Division with a flawless run.
