Brong Ahafo Region will compete in this year’s Cowbell After 7 Afahy3 Basketball Tournament due to commence later today in Cape-Coast.
The competition will run till Saturday September 1and University of Cape-Coast’s newly built indoor arena is set to host the tournament.
The annual competition features several teams in action during the Fetu Festival celebrations in Ghana’s Cape-Coast district.
Teams representing regions in the West African country feature in the two day tournament with Greater Accra Region leading the way.
The likes of Ashanti, Western, Central and Eastern Regions have participated respectively in prior years with Brong-Ahafo (BA) Region joining this edition.
Per reports reaching Basketballghana.com, Team BA will be dominated by members of Suncity Braves who were crowned winners of the 2017-2018 GSP Basketball League earlier this year.
Braves won its second league title after dislodging past winner University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) from the top spot.
Clinching the 2018 title is Braves second GSP League crown. The new season tips off next month.
