Jose Rizal University Ghanaian Center AbdulWahab Abdul Razak has made his long awaited debut on basketball channel “Courtside”.

The burly defender was interviewed on the program which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports last year from his base in Philippines.

Growing up in Kumasi in the West African nation’s Ashanti Region, Abdul Wahab developed interest in the sport which has taken him to the United States and Asia with Cape-Coast Hoops Care Official Claude Thompson playing a huge role.

He recently graduated from Rizal University with a Degree in Business Management and led the Heavy Bombers with his energetic plays on defense.

Speaking on his experience in Asia, Abdul Razak noted Philippines keen interest in basketball and the passion they associate with the sport.

“It wasn’t easy (playing there) and with the Filipinos, basketball is their passion and their number one sport” he said.

He then presented a Rizal Basketball Jersey with his name on it to Host Jake Morrison. Courtside airs on Sunday at 18:00 GMT.
