Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate 14 teams will participate in the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament.

This is according to a member of the planning team Ibrahim Mohammed who made the statement earlier today on Sports Health show “HeadStart” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports.

The competition commences on Friday September 14 and scheduled to end on Saturday September 22 with all games taking place at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The tournament will be held in honour of former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi who passed away a year ago.

Baafi was popularly known as “Capito” and he wore the “7” jersey during his playing days before moving into management.

Per Mohammed, eight teams will compete in the male division and six teams will compete in the female division with a giant trophy and 1000 Ghana Cedis as the main prize.

Teams including Tudu Galaxy, Adenta Leopards, CYO and Teshie Rangers ar confirmed teams to compete in the Male Division.

Due to the CAP Tournament, ABL games have been postponed.
