Fixtures for the 2018 Tema Community Basketball League playoffs have been released following the conclusion of the regular season. The postseason tips off on Sunday October 14 at Tema Community 4’s Court.
The regular season ended this past weekend with three games drawing the 24 week competition to a close with Tema Rockets and Akatsi Rifles missing out of the postseason.
2016 Champions and first seed Nungua Coldstore takes on eighth seed Teshie Rangers with Coldstore ending the season with 17 wins in 18 games.
Rangers sneaked into the postseason with a losing record of six wins and 12 losses in 18 games; the team finished ahead of Rifles and Rockets.
Second seed Ashaiman Lions take on seventh seed and league debutant Teshie Vikings in the opening game at 15:30 GMT. Lions lost back to back finals in 2016 and 2017.
Third seed Tema Heat and sixth seed Tema Community 2 face off in an all Tema showdown as the neighboring communities renew its rivalry.
The final game this weekend has home side and defending champions Community 4 play fourth seed Francophone Stars.
