Bentil signs autograph for fans
Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has made an encouraging start to life in the Greek A1 Basketball League after signing with Peristeri GS recently.

The 6 foot 8 inch player scored 16 points on his debut for the club he joined after turning down a training camp invitation from NBA side Milwaukee Bucks.

In Peristeri’s first game since returning to Greece’s top flight basketball league, the team clinched an 83-80 win over AEK Athens.

Bentil came off the bench to score double digit points while adding two rebounds in 18 minutes; he converted a pair of three point shot attempts in the win.

His scoring output was overshadowed by teammate and starter Ryan Harrow who registered 21 points on the back of converting nine of ten shots from the field.

Bentil and his new teammates will be in action this weekend as Persiteri plays away from home to Promitheas who scored a big 83-68 win over Kolossos HH in Round One.

Bentil is the first Ghana born player to be drafted into the NBA and play in the NBA.
