Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana’s contingent at this year’s FNB-Togo Challenge has arrived in the country following the conclusion of the tournament.

The contingent made up of players on the Male and Female Teams ended play in the competition this past weekend in Lome.

Ghana’s Male side was represented by Benjamin Debrah, David Maja, Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Godwin Tetteh. With the exception of Pobi-Siaw, the remaining members featured in the 3×3 Zonal Championship held in Cotonou, Benin in September.

The Female Team was once again dominated by members of the Ghana Police Service Team with Tudu Galaxy’s Naa Shika Moffat the lone exception.

Balkisu Saleem, Zenabu Mohammed and Mavis Matey recently guided Police to win the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division title. Police ended Braves long reign as Champions in the process.

Ghana’s Female side will compete in the African 3×3 Championship from November 9-11 in Lome against 11 other nations including favorites Nigeria.

The likes of Benin, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Uganda will play in the continental competition.
