KSTS (yellow) in action.

The old dominant pair of Pope John Senior High School and Junior Seminary and Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) will represent the Eastern Region at the upcoming Sprite Ball Championship.

Sprite Ball is Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball competition and the aforementioned schools will be another appearance at the competition come January, 2019.

By playing in the finals of the Eastern Regional Qualifiers held recently at Pope John, both schools were guaranteed places in the national competition.

The host school walked away with the game’s win and title for the umpteenth time and gets the chance to improve on its streak of bronze medal wins at the competition.

Pope John has won two bronze medals in the last three editions and is keen on go a step higher in the upcoming edition.

The likes of St. Paul Senior High School, St. Francis Senior High School and Okuapeman Senior High School participated in the regional qualifiers.

Nkawkaw Senior High School returns to Sprite Ball after a brief absence after clinching the Girls Division spot.
