Ghana Center-Forward Ernest Aflakpui scored seven points in Temple University’s 77-70 win over St. Joseph’s University at the Hagan Arena in Philadelphia.

Aflakpui started the game and played 19 minutes while adding five rebounds to his overall production in the win for the Owls.

This is Temple University’s seventh win in eight games this season but St. Joseph’s suffered its fourth loss in eight games.

Aflakpui, who is in his final year-grabbed scored three of four attempts from the field and grabbed an offensive rebound but battled foul trouble.

The 6 foot 10 inch player had four fouls in his time on the court and scored one of two free throws but committed two turnovers. Aflakpui is averaging 6.4 points and 7.5 rebounds this season.

Guard Quinton Rose and Alston Shizz Jnr. top scored for Temple with the pair scoring 15 points each; Rose added five points.
