The final round of qualification games for the 2019 FIBA World Cup to be held in China is to be held in Ivory Coast’s largest city Abidjan.

Abidjan will host games in Group F later this month from February 22-24 with the host nation in line to qualify to the competition.

The list did not include former Tertiary Player of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards Romeo Enan who plays for Dalia Sportive Grombalia in Tunisia.

The 6 foot 11 inch Center played for Ivory Coast at the 2017 African Nations Championship after starring in the continental’s premier club competition-AfroLeague.

Head Coach Paolo Povia stuck to most of the players who featured in the last round and won two of three games as Nigeria secured qualification.

Ivory Coast is hosting a FIBA event for the first time hosting the 2013 AfroBasket and is gunning for a World Cup sport for the first time since 2010.
