Sunyani Technical University (STU) and Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) are scheduled to play later today to for the 2019 Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games Men’s Division Basketball competition at 10:30 GMT.

STU and KsTU lost yesterday at the Accra Technical University (ATU) Court at the semifinal stage of the biannual multisport event.

Defending champions and host ATU beat STU 29-20 in the first semifinal game after the latter took an early lead and ended the first half tied with the multiple champion.

KsTU played in the other semifinal gamed well but lacked the killer instinct to punish Takoradi Technical University (TTU). Takoradi went on to clinch an easy 52-23 win to progress to the final.

Both semifinal losers will take refuge in making the podium and having a good run out ahead of participating in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament –UPAC- early next month.

Accra Technical and Takoradi Technical will battle for the top prize on Saturday, February 10 at the host venue with the game tipping off at 9:00 GMT.
