Heat (white) v C2

Heat (white) v C4

Tema Heat is off to a poor start in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League after losing two games in the opening rounds.

Heat has lost twice in two games this season with the latest coming in a 40-43 loss to Tema Community 2 this past Sunday at the Tema Community 4 Court.

In the opening week, Heat lost 33-42 to home side Community 4 in a grudge match that had Shooting Guard Issaku play against his former team C4.

Despite adding a host of new faces to improve its depth, Heat has yet to put out a sustained performance in games through two appearances this season.

In the loss to Community 2, last season’s silver medal winners led 19-9 at the start of the second quarter and clinched a 23-15 first half lead.

A poor shooting performance coupled with several turnovers cost the side dearly as C2 closed the deficit to three (28-31) heading to the final quarter.

Big shots from Kwame Attafuah and Kofi Attafuah got C2 the game’s lead. Heat rank seventh in the 12 team league.
