Ghana Forward Ben Bentil did not record a double digit scoring performance for the first time in the 2018-2019 Greece A1 Basketball League playoffs.

The 6 foot 8 inch Sekondi born player had just points as Peristeri lost 66-86 to Panathinaikos in the semifinals of the playoffs. After scoring in double digits in four straight games, Bentil’s scoring output dipped after attempting just four shots in the game.

Unlike Game One, Bentil started off the bench and played 23 minutes. He registered two rebounds, two assists and two steals. In previous games in the playoffs, Bentil has scored a ton of points from the free throw line but in the second game against the highly ranked Panathinaikos, he didn’t attempt a shot.

The former Dallas Mavericks Forward also did not attempt a shot from three point range only scoring from twice from the field after attempting four shots. Former Memphis Grizzlies Guard Nick Calathes top scored in the game with 14 points for Panathinaikos.

Peristeri need to win Game 3 on Monday to stay in the hunt for a place in the final.
