Braves of Customs Female Team has made a winning return to the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division after touring Kenya.

The team beat Ghana Air Force 60-24 earlier today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu as it sets its sight on reclaiming the league title it lost to Ghana Police Service last season.

The game was quite competitive at the end of the third quarter with Braves leading 38-20 but proved to be another landslide win for Customs who dominated the final quarter.

A 12 point run early on in the fourth quarter with Belinda Tawiah and Afia Yeboah-Agyeman scoring three points shots and Gloria Gyampoh and Matilda Gordon adding points from inside the paint.

In a back and forth game in the Men’s Division II, Junior Reformers competed well against the vastly experienced Panthers but ultimately lost 64-68.

The matchup had the lead switch hands several times and hung in the balance with the score tied at 62 with 2:35 remaining. However, Emmanuel Mensah and Kofi Attafuah scored late baskets to lead Panthers to the win.
