Bentil during his time at Peristeri

Ghana’s Ben Bentil will compete in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship for the first time in his career this season and ahead of his debut run in the tournament, he has expressed his eagerness to learn.

Speaking to EuroLeague representatives during a photo shoot with his new team-Greek side Panathinaikos- Bentil made it known his desire to learn more.

“I want to learn different things on the game, be more focused, more detailed about scouting, tactics in the game. In general to learn how to play better” he said in the interview.

Bentil joined Panathinaikos from Greek side Persiteri GS after an impressive season where he averaged 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds last season.

The Sekondi native has been in Europe since 2017 and has played for teams in France and Spain before moving to Greece. Bentil plays Power Forward and Small Forward.

However, he wont be available to compete in the Greek League due to a limit on non local players following Panathinaikos extensive collection of former NBA players including Jimmer Fredette.
