University of Ghana (UG) had a bad day at the office in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season after losing two games earlier today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The tertiary institution’s Female Team lost 38-44 to Reformers of Prisons in the Women’s Division while UG’s Male Team lost 54-66 to Ada Knights in the Men’s Division II.

Tonight’s loss is the second for UG in Division II this season after losing just once prior to facing Knights who faced a stiff challenge from UG after Center Joshua Annan fouled out midway through the final quarter.

UG went on a ten point run to trail 48-58 with 2:27 minutes remaining in the game but a pair of three point shots put the game to bed and hand the win to Knights.

UG’s Female team showed similar resilience in its loss to Reformers with the latter leading 40-23 at the end of the third quarter.

The tertiary side went on a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter but couldn’t complete the comeback even with Guard Kayla Hannabis delivering an eye catching performance.
