WNBA star Angel McCoughtry is hosting a basketball clinic in South Africa Basketballghana.com can confirm after touching base in Ghana earlier in August .

The two time Olympic Gold medalist with Team USA visited the West African country and held a basketball clinic at the Team Community 4 Court in Ghana’s capital city, Accra.

The clinic was an all female event and attracted scores of female players to the venue including players competing in the Accra Basketball League (ABL).

Participants from age four registered for free and were given tutorials on several aspects of the game including shooting and dribbling.

McCoughtry’s camp is the first ever all female basketball clinic held in Ghana and had the likes of former Most Valuable Player winner at the Ghana Basketball Awards Matilda Gordon in attendance.

McCoughtry’s camp in South Africa is her second on the African continent as the veteran Atlanta Dream player recovers from a knee injury.

The 33 year old won the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Gold.
