Bentil during his time at Peristeri

Ghana Small Forward Ben Bentil has featured in his second straight game in the EuroLeague for Panathinaikos Basketball Club.

The 24 year old Ghanaian player is playing in the continental championship for the first time in his career since turning pro in 2016.

Bentil saw more time on the court in his second game in the competition against Italy’s Olimpia Milano; the Greek side lost 78-79.

The result was the same in Bentil’s debut EuroLeague game against French Champions ASVEL; Panathinaikos has lost twice in as many appearances.

Bentil played eight minutes registering three points, an assist and two rebounds with the former Providence College player scoring baskets from the free throw line.

However, his limited contribution couldn’t prevent another close loss for Panathinaikos in the biggest competition in basketball outside the NBA.

Bentil signed with the Greek Champions after impressing with fellow Greek side Peristeri last season; he is the first Ghana-born player to play in the NBA after a brief stint with Dallas Mavericks.

He was selected 51st overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
