Ghana Forward Ben Bentil was in action for the second time in the Euroleague Basketball championship for Greek side Panathinakos but couldn’t prevent his side from suffering another close loss.

Panathinaikos lost 78-79 to Italian side Olimpiano Milano at the O.A.C.A. Indoor Hall in Athens, Greece on Thursday, October 17.

Bentil played just eight minutes in the game and came off the bench to register three points, two rebounds and an assist.

The 24 year old Combo Forward is playing in Europe’s premier competition for the first time and suffered a one point loss in two games. Panathinaikos lost 78-79 to ASVEL from France in the opening game.

Sekondi native Bentil scored baskets from the free throw line to give Panathinaikos a 38-35 lead but Amedeo Della Valle’s three pointer tied the game at 38 at half time.

Point Guard Nick Calathes led all players in the game with 23 points but was doubled and tripled teamed late in the game by Milano.

Shooting Guard Vladimir Rivoc led Milano with 18 points.
