12 teams have qualified from the preliminary stage of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) to the Elite 16 following the conclusion of qualification games recently.

While Ghana’s Braves of Customs missed out on progressing to the second round of the continental competition a dozen did so.

However, the list of teams for the second round isn’t complete and four more teams will get picked to complete the roster.

Such teams are to be handed wild card spots to continue their run in the tournament with the Elite 16 set to commence later this month.

Games in Group G commence on November 26 while those in Group H start on December 17 in Yaounde, Cameroon and Kigali, Rwanda respectively.

The top two teams from six groups gained automatic qualification to the next stage and Basketballghana.com gathers teams with the highest points and goals are in line to be handed wild card spots.

The likes of Cobra from South Sudan and ASB Mazembe from DR Congo are in line to recive wild card invitations due to their superior record.
