Shama Senior High School (SHASS) completely shut out Half Assini Senior High School in the ongoing 2020 Sprite Ball qualifiers in the Western Region.
SHASS recorded a 20-2 win over Half Assini in the Girls Division; SHASS placed third at the national competition earlier this year.
Next year’s edition of Ghana’s biggest High School basketball tournament runs from January 3-4, 2020 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with eight schools due to compete in the Girls Division.
The win is SHASS second in two games; earlier in the day, the team beat Mpohor Senior High School 15-6 to stay on course for a repeat appearance at the national stage.
In other results in the female division, Hall Assini beat Badu Bonsoe Senior High School 10-4; Badu Bonsoe lost 2-6 to Mpohor Senior High.
Fijai Senior High beat Archbishop Port Girls Senior High School 10-4; Fijai could make it two wins in as many appearances should the team beat Ahantaman Senior High School.
