Tema’s teams for the various events at the Africa Basketball Festival have been completed mere days to the event on December 24 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The Festival’s maiden edition is set to extensively highlight basketball in Ghana, Ghanaian music and food on Christmas Eve in the nation’s capital, Accra.
Jokebed Maya, Theresa Dodoo and Naa Shika Moffat will compete in the Ladies Free Throw Shooting Contest; Moffat has represented Ghana on the continent in 3×3 competitions.
Jokebed competed at the 2017 Sprite Ball Championship with Methodist Girls Senior High School (Mamfe); Sprite Ball is Ghana’s biggest High School basketball tournament.
Dennis Dugbennu, Moses Abu and Joshua Annang will represent Tema in the All Star Game and will represent Tema in the Slam Dunk competition.
Kent Fosu, Jeffrey Djimate and Emmanuel Wolff will compete in the All Star Game and the Three Point Shooting contest. The Festival is organized by Rite Sports Limited with the Accra All Star Team headlined by winners of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I, Braves of Customs.
