OWASS v Prempeh in 2018 Ashanti Regional Final.

Physical Education Heads of Opoku Ware School and Adisadel College will supervise their respective teams in the Sprite Ball Championship for the last time.

Reports gathered by Basketballghana.com indicate Charles Darkwah of Opoku Ware and Evans Ofei of Adisadel are set to retire later this year and the upcoming Sprite Ball is the pair’s last.

This year’s Sprite Ball takes place at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra on January3 and January 4 with 20 schools competing.

12 schools will compete in the Boys Division with eight schools due to compete in the Girls Division; Mfantsipim School and Kumasi Girls Senior High School are defending champions in the respective divisions.

The veteran tutors have turned both schools into household names in Ghana High School basketball with Adisadel making consistent appearances in the tournament under the watch of Ofei-Ankrah.

Opoku Ware Head Charles Darkwah led the school to its first ever title in December 2016 at the expense of record winners Mfantsipim.
