Ketabusco-Opoku Ware

Keta Business College (KETABUSCO) has secured a major upset in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship at the expense of Opoku Ware School.

KETABUSCO beat Opoku Ware 31-20 in the opening quarterfinal game of the knockout stage and extends the Volta Region representative’s glamorous run in Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball Tournament.

Opoku Ware couldn’t deal with KETABUSCO’s big roster and main threat Nicholas Essien had a tough outing and struggled with his shot all game.

KETABUSCO progress to the semifinals for the first time ever and comes just a year after exiting the competition at the group stage without any wins.

In the Girls Division, two time winners and defending champions attempt at making history by winning a third straight title has come to an end at the semifinal stage.

Kumasi Girls lost 17-23 to Shama Girls Senior High School and will contend for a bronze medal against the losing team in the St. Louis Senior High School-Osu PRESEC matchup.
