Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) face off tonight at 17:00 GMT at the University of Ghana (UG) Main Court.

Both universities are competing in the Men’s Basketball competition at the multi sport tournament for the first time and are in search of its first win.

GIJ and GIMPA have been handed huge losses when paired against experienced teams in the competition; GIJ lost 8-103 to host UG.

The matchup is one of three scheduled to be played later today with a top of the table clash between UG and University of Education-Winneba (UEW) at the same time. UEW and UG are unbeaten in seven games.

On the other hand, GIJ and GIMPA occupy the bottom spots in the division after six games played and will end the competition outside the medal places irrespective of the results tonight.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) beat University of Energy and Natural Resources 66-24 earlier today and ranks third. Below is the position of teams in the standings:
